Most students will get behind in some way or other. Try to keep up with learning your notes, with keeping time, and just keep hacking at changing chords. The rest is not necessarily important or unimportant, but you can always get back to the other things. Show up. I cant teach you anything if you dont show up.
I teach rudiments, i. e.: reading music, because to do otherwise is to steal from the students.
